away

flab

This one is a bit older: I shot it a few weeks ago when I managed to leave the city for the first time after everything that happened in the last few months.

Even though the picture says apocalypse more than anything, being away for a bit made life, the universe and everything a lot more bearable.

Almost enjoyable even.

that night …

dusk

… when I almost destroyed my fisheye lens. I stumbled and the lens (with the camera and tripod attached) fell and hit a lamp post. But magic was being done and now the scratches are gone. The end.

orange

Orange. Isn’t that nice for a change?

I borrowed a camera from a friend, put some strange filters on it (that I got from him as well) and now everything is orange.

This will be the poster for a conference I’m organizing with a few fellow students.

After a month of being sick and almost managing to die along the way, I finally got started on a new creative project. I learned, once again, that being able to make stuff (drawing, painting, crafting, building …) is a crucial factor in keeping me sane.

Actually, that is not much of a surprise. But those last few weeks were the worst and I’m still in a rather wibbley-wobbley my-body-doesn’t-quite-does-what-I-want-it-to-do-and-I’m-all-dizzy-and-exhausted state of being.

i do have a lot of pin-back monsters now

pins1

Aren’t they great? The cephalopods and zombies are screen printed on different fabrics. The printing for each design needed two passes – one for the outlines, and one for the colouring.

Special thanks go to Alex, who basically provided all the features an additional human body has to offer when working on a project like this one … Especially having two extra hands to use turned out to be rather useful ;)

And he got us the fancy badge maker we used.

As I’m all about figuring out how things really work, what made me happy was that I finally managed to prepare a screen for screen printing that can actually be used (I just flooded the dark room one and a half times in the process -.-).

Also, This is the first time I printed on fabric with more than one colour, which is exiting as well.

MONSTERS! ZOMBIES! :D

dyeing everything

@grillt is orange now.

Everyone got their hair dyed: teal, green, and orange. Purple too, but that was a few days earlier.

Also, there were vegan burgers and cake.

GREEN!

Lame picture, but the colours are awesome.
