the next generation

Turns out that having to put in a new strip of film for every single shot gets old really fast … So we are building a new pinhole camera.

It’s base is, again, a can (from paint this time), but it will use medium format film. Roll film. No changing bag required \o/

Also, it has two holes instead of one. And it is time for the camera to get a name, I can’t keep numbering my pinholes forever. But I digress.

I think I started working on it in April, and today the camera produced a first picture:

exposure time 2 minutes, probably f/512

I’m so curious if it actually ends up working with the roll film.

finally: zombies

More toy-camera-pictures.

This time from a holiday afternoon a few weeks ago that we spent strolling through the city.

toy camera #2

Lately, I spend quite some time building cameras, which for some reason leads to more photography in my life in general. So there is yet another photography-related blog post.

These pictures are shot with my toy camera (Lomo Fisheye Baby). It really is a more of a toy than a camera, but I like the light leaks it produces because they make the black area around the actual picture look a lot more interesting ;)

away

flab

This one is a bit older: I shot it a few weeks ago when I managed to leave the city for the first time after everything that happened in the last few months.

Even though the picture says apocalypse more than anything, being away for a bit made life, the universe and everything a lot more bearable.

Almost enjoyable even.
